Okay, don't everyone laugh at me at once, but I found this book rather realistic. I mean, of course, only once you accept the premise of zombies and that you get to see some of it through chihuahua eyes. This was a really good, fast-paced read with some humor but edged almost too far into some tenser, horror-genre moments than what I normally read thanks to some very vivid writing. Don't let that throw you off, I've had a large diet of humorous chicklit and paranormal parodies recently compared to the usual SF I read--and I'm too much of a wimp to read straightup thriller or horror genre books; this was a mix I could handle.
Who can resist checking out that title even after one too many other zombie, vampire, supernatural bits with powerful beings and instaluv? Just when I think I don't want to read another zombie book ... talk about your underdogs! I do tend to have weak spots for books with the smaller, frailer beings facing the insurmountable odds.
Glad the title caught my eye in another post about the author "Steven L. Hawk" attracting troll attacks from a group who actually meant to attack a different author "Steven Hawk" who had apparently disrespected whatever the group was supporting or something (who pays attention to strange rants on reviews). Wish I hadn't started reading right before bedtime, at my age I need my beauty rest.

★★★★★ = All Time Favorite
★★★★½ = Extraordinary Book. Really Loved It.
★★★★☆ = Loved It.
★★★½☆ = Really Liked.
★★★☆☆ = Liked.
★★½☆☆ = Liked parts; parts only okay. Would read more by author.
★★☆☆☆ = Meh. Okay.
★½☆☆☆ = Disliked but kept me reading in hopes would get better.
★☆☆☆☆ = Loathed It. Possibly DNF and a torturous read.
½☆☆☆☆ = So vile was a DNF or should have been. An "uploaded" word spew or collection that should not be dignified by calling itself a "published book." Author should take remedial classes for language written in until basic concepts like using sentences sink in. Is author even old enough to sign a publishing contract or do they need a legal guardian to sign for them? Cannot imagine anyone liking.
