Just an avid reader. Mostly SF/Fantasy, some hobbies, paranormal, urban fantasy and lighter, fluffier things.
This is still giving off a very gothic air.
I know, the heroine is currently in New Zealand and a huge wealth of folklore, faiths, and myths are being mixed in with supernaturals from Celtic, Maori and even Russian lore.
But, it's quite gothic in tone. Maybe because the "damsel in distress" runs right into probably the wrong place and person.
Hmmmm...gothic and supernaturals ... should have saved for a Halloween BINGO 2017 square.
(Just kidding, I like reading anything I win and quickly reviewing; I very seldom enter to win anything.)
I'm enjoying it. But, I wasn't sure (still am not) exactly what I was getting into. I like other books by the author so entered/won a Librarything giveaway of this one.
