This ain't Sparta. Or Greek mythology.
Okay, the names and places are the same.
Okay, the premise still has potential.
But seriously Helen is generic spoiled brat. Not getting any real "atmosphere" of time or place to warrant this being a middle grade tale of Helen of Sparta.
No real problem with the writing itself but this is being so bland and Helen because-am-pretty-and-future-Queen-I-am-immune is stupidly defiant about crap in what comes across less as heroic/feminist than as not really interesting enough to actually rate being called TSTL. Sheesh, Sparta and Ancient Greece my ass.
